The recent social evening in Radway was a great success. Joanne Perry generously opened her garden for us, and despite  less than perfect weather, members were able to enjoy the beautiful spaces she has created. She kindly answered the many questions posed  about individual features and her plant choices. Her stories and explanations were fascinating. The garden was a blank canvas when she first bought the house and says that she really enjoyed the challenge of designing the whole plot. She stresses that nothing stays still- one needs to constantly make slight changes and revisions.  Our members particularly enjoyed her use of water and the positioning of pieces of art and sculpture in the garden. There was plenty to see and so very much to admire. There were ideas which even the owners of much smaller gardens found inspiring.
It was good, too, to be meeting in person again. The wine and canapés seemed popular too!
We are hugely grateful to Joanne and Peter.
