DESCRIPTION:Warwickshire Gardens Trust – Warmington Heritage Group \nA guided tour of the archaeological work undertaken by Stephen Wass of Polyalbion Archaeology at Stowe Landscape Gardens Wednesday September 15th 2021 \nThe work carried out by Stephen for The National Trust is part of the huge NT restoration project of the parkland and its buildings that will reinstate many of the features that were lost over the many years of abandonment following the financial difficulties of the original owners. \nWe will meet at Bell Gate Lodge at 2.00 p.m. Admission to Stowe is free for members of the NT but those who are not members of the National Trust will need to pay for their admission (Adult £13 or £14.30 with Gift Aid) in addition to the cost of this guided tour. \nThere will be a strict limit on numbers for this visit so pre-booking is essential. \nAccess: The gardens are partly accessible: they include uneven and hard gravel paths\, steep slopes\, and are slightly hilly. Please be aware there is an approx. 800m walk from the car park to the garden. No buggies available.
