SUMMARY:Visit - Morton Hall Gardens
DESCRIPTION:Morton Hall House is a small country house\, listed as Grade II\, dating from the C18th with\nlater additions in the C19th and C20th. It is surrounded by seven acres of gardens and parks\ndesigned by Charles Chesshire as a series of ‘garden rooms’ forming a circular journey through a\nRock Garden and Kitchen Garden\, amongst others\, together with an East Terrace facing the\nmain entrance. A New Garden has been designed and planted in sympathy with the\nadjacent meadow featuring a dense planting of small ornamental trees. In total\nthere are eight acres of garden and park with commanding views across the Vale of\nEvesham.\nWe have arranged a private tour on April 30th at 11am. Our visit coincides with the display\ncreated for the renowned tulip festival and we will see more than a hundred varieties\nin borders and pots.  The head gardener or owner will escort us. We will then have a light\nlunch on the East Terrace or in the Orangery.\nPlease contact the organizer if you need help with transport. It may be possible to help with\nfinding lifts. Numbers strictly limited so early booking is advised!\nNote: Due to uneven ground and gravel pathways\, some parts of the garden are not\naccessible for wheelchairs. Morton Hall Gardens are private. Therefore paths and\nstepping stones are not secured as they would be in a public garden. Visitors come at their\nown risk.\nMorton Hall Tulips\, Morton Hall Lane\, Redditch B96 6SJ\nMorton Hall Lane is situated at Holberrow Green on the B4092 road between Inkberrow and\nEdgiok.
