SUMMARY:Visit - Admington Hall
DESCRIPTION:Admington Hall Gardens \n  \nThe private Pleasure Gardens at Admington Hall lie near the house to the south of the village of Admington.  The park and gardens have been developed in recent years by Mark and Antonia Davies with advice in the early days from the garden designer Mary Keen. \nOur visit will begin with an introductory talk on arrival by the owner and/or Head Gardener.  A small booklet will be available containing information on the house and garden. \nTen acres of garden and grounds surround the part Jacobean/part Georgian house.  The park features mature specimen trees and a large pond plus a shelter belt of oak\, beech\, chestnut and hawthorn protecting the pleasure grounds from inclement weather. Small garden buildings and sculptures can be viewed in the garden rooms surrounding the house which include the Gravel Garden with a serpentine path and islands of planting interspersed with box and laurel\, and to the north of the house\, a modern Topiary Garden. Both the Water Garden which encircles the house crossed by small bridges\, and the wild Woodland Garden were developed after 1970 by the previous owners.  Other features include a well-laid out walled flower and vegetable garden\, an orchard\, wildflower meadow\, and a hornbeam tunnel. \nAfter exploring the garden a welcome cup of tea\, coffee\, or homemade cordial will be served with a variety of homemade cakes and bakes. \nParking is available on site. \nBuy Tickets
