DESCRIPTION:To mark the bicentenary of Humphry Repton’s death\, eminent garden historian John Phibbs will lead a study day about Repton’s work at Stoneleigh Abbey. Further talks will consider the earlier history of the estate and the influence it had on Jane Austen’s vision of landscape. A tour of the Abbey and Repton’s landscape will follow. Coffee\, lunch and tea included.
