The committee is pleased to announce the award of £800 towards the proposed £30,000 reconstruction of the garden at the Quaker Meeting House in Warwick. It was felt that this garden is of sufficient public utility to justify the highest award that our constitution allows to any single project in one year: 5% of capital accumulation at the end of the last financial year. WGT has long had a connexion with the place, continuing to hold our winter lecture series here, but is only one of a number of societies that use and enjoy this venue, a quiet oasis in the very heart of Warwick.
The plan aims to increase accessibility for wheelchair users, whilst offering a safe environment for children. New paths, play and seating areas will be built.
