Guys Cliffe Walled Garden

The (probably) eighteenth century walled garden of Guys Cliffe House is now overgrown. It contains the remains of glasshouses. A new volunteering opportunity this year is to work on clearing and restoration. Working party dates and more information and photographs of progress here.

St John’s House Museum, Warwick

The gardens of this listed seventeenth century mansion are on the Warwick District Council Local Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. They have recently “lost” their gardener, and a group of volunteer gardeners has been established. Additional members of the group are much needed if the gardens are to continue to be a worthy setting for this important building.

Leamington Foundry Wood

On the old Ford Foundry site by the railway track, an area of scrubland has been converted in to a community woodland. Volunteers have planted trees and made the site accessible by making paths, building a compost toilet, outdoor classroom and a pond. there are regular guided tours, open days and events.
