Wednesday 11 October: Pleasure and Production. Birmingham and Midland Institute. This lecture will explore the landscapes of eighteenth and early nineteenth century industrialists, whose gardens have attracted much less attention than those of the gentry and aristocracy. what interested the development of these pleasure landscapes alongside the productive and did they interact in any way?

26-7 October 2017 History of Chinese gardens and landscapes. A two day conference University of Sheffield. Gardens Trust members 100, County Gardens Trust members 110. Details and booking

Tuesday 28 November. Historic Landscape Forum. An event for members of all County Gardens Trusts, held this year at the Birmingham and Midland Institute. The purpose of the day is to discus current issues. Speakers will include representatives from the Gardens Trust, Historic England, Parks and gardens UK, Repton 2018. 18 April 2018 Rivington Terraced Gardens. Birmingham and Midland Institute. Maria Luczak explores the collaboration of Lord Leverhulme and Thomas Mawson in the creation of these gardens in Bolton. Details later.

Friday 27 April 2018: Repton in Bedfordshire Study Day  Moggerhanger Park. Details and booking form.

Friday - Saturday 1 & 2 June: Norfolk Repton Festival. Two-day conference focussed on Sheringham Hall, Barningham Hall and Honing Hall. Cost to County Gardens Trust members and Gardens Trust members 125 excluding accommodation. More details

26 September 2018 Revealing Repton: Approaches to the Art of Landscape Gardening. Professor Stephen Daniels will speak on new approaches to understanding and communicating the art of landscape gardening and imaginative ways to communicate the cultural significance of Repton’s work.
